For the sixth year in a row, winners of the New Wave Spanish Wine Awards were shown off to us British wine writers, this year in the scorching, decidedly Spanish temperatures experienced earlier this month. These annual UK awards are decided on the basis of blind tastings by a team of British judges, chaired by Tim Atkin MW. A clutch of trophies was awarded to the best performers in each category, across a swathe of styles and prices, although presumably Spain's finest and most famous are not entered into the fray.
