Impressive 2008 ports, and a pink'un
Port, for many of us, is inextricably related to weather. In England, it is strictly a seasonal drink, to be sipped by log fires during long nights. Not quite so many would think of a white port and tonic as a refreshing summer aperitif, but it is not uncommon in France. Chilled tawny might be another warm weather splash, but surely only within the most wine-savvy circles. Now there is another option: rosé port.
