What's hot and what's not in Singapore's wine scene this month?
There was much Grenache-ing of teeth this month, with five southern Rhône-style blends glorifying Grenache to the fullest. Chief among them is the pictured bottle of Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe from the 2014 vintage, which is a tremendous example of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the prime of its life. The label is looking a bit raggedy because of the condensation common in steamy Singapore. I served this bottle at around 14 °C (57 °F), which was perfect to keep it peppy.
